ACADEMY APPOINTMENTS

Cambuslang Rangers FC are today able to confirm that we are restructuring our Academy to align it with our first team and establish a professional football setup within the club.

Club Co-Manager, Paul McColl has appointed Steven Owens and John Sneddon to deliver on the club’s vision for the future.

John Sneddon will take on the role of Academy Director with Steven Owens heading the position of Academy Coaching Director, working together to deliver a club playing strategy throughout the academy setup and establish a pathway to the first team.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the existing coaches and staff to build an Academy structure fit for the future. It’s an excellent opportunity to put the Academy front and centre and be the place to deliver the Pathway to first team football.”

- John Sneddon

“I am really excited to be asked by Paul to take the role of creating a structure that falls into line with the 1st team.

We already have some very good young players within the set up and I feel with my and other coaches experience we can further enhance the footballing side of the Academy.”

- Stevie Owens

The Club would like to welcome both into their roles as we make the next step towards a unified and progression-focused system.

Together with the current coaches, players, parents and supporters we believe that we can establish a fantastic professional setup which provides a player pathway model to ensure the long term success of our players and the football club.
